Štiavnické vrchy are the youngest Carpathian mountains in Slovakia, they were formed by volcanic activity. Between Štiavnické vrchy and Podunajská nížina, there is a picturesque cottage in the village of Devičany.
Štiavnické vrchy are an ideal place for hiking.
Sitno 21 km - hiking, Sitno (1,009.2 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Štiavnické vrchy mountain range, the cradle of European tourism. The andesite walls surround the peak on three sides, on which there is an observation tower and the Sitno transmitter. Swimming, hiking, cultural events.
Banskej Štiavnica 28 km. (German: Schemnitz, Hungarian: Selmecbánya) is a mining, historical town Old Castle, New Castle, Klopačka, Mining Museum in Nature, Calvary, Botanical Garden and others.
