Chata pod Surovým

The family cottage under Surovým is located in the tourist settlement of Podbanské, on the border of the Western and High Tatras. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the forest, in a quiet environment and at the same time not far from the interesting attractions that Podbanské and its surroundings have to offer.

From the cottage it is just a hop to the center of the High Tatras as well as to the famous Štrbské Pleso. During your stay in the summer, you can go on high-altitude hikes or simply run out to pick mushrooms and wild berries. While walking, you will admire the pride of Slovakia - the majestic Kriváň, which is almost within reach from Podbanský. In the nearby village of Východná (15 km) you can visit well-known folklore festivals and in the village of Pribylina you can look into the past of our ancestors in the Museum of the Liptov Village. We recommend that you also take a trip to the Liptovská Mara water reservoir, to Aquapark Tatralandia, near which Tatrapolis - miniature museum, Wind tunnel - Hurricane Factory, Kontaktná Zoo and the Upside Down House are located. You can enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the ski resorts Ski Podbanské, Jasná - Nízke Tatry, Opalisko Závažná Poruba Ski Center or Park Snow Štrbské Pleso.
