About accommodation
Jánošíkova chata stands on the edge of the forest in the quiet recreational area of Slanická osada, just 500 meters from the shore of the Orava Dam and 2 kilometers from the embankment and center of Námestovo. It combines the silence of the forest environment with the accessibility of everything that Orava has to offer. With a capacity of 16 people, an outdoor jacuzzi and a spacious gazebo with a grill and kettle, it is an ideal choice for larger parties, multi-generational families, celebrations and corporate teambuildings.

Relaxation and outdoors
The main attraction of the exterior is the outdoor hot tub , where you can relax after a day of hiking or skiing — in the summer at sunset, in the winter in the middle of a snowy forest. The cottage also has its own garden with a terrace, a large gazebo with seating, a grill, a goulash kettle, a fireplace right by the forest, and a garden swing.
For the little ones, there is a playground with a slide and a sandbox, toys and a children's corner. Five cars can be parked in front of the cottage without any problems.
What to enjoy in the area
In summer, the Orava Dam is a few minutes' walk away — canoeing, paddleboarding, pedal boats and sightseeing boat trips. The Slanica Island of Art (2 km) is definitely worth a visit, the remains of the flooded village of Slanica with a baroque church and an exhibition of folk art. Nearby you will also find Laser Game Vulkán, Escape Plan Námestovo, Ranč u Edyho, Kinderland and Autokino Orava.
In winter you can ski in Ski Krušetnica (11 km), Orava Snow Oravská Lesná (27 km) or in Ski Park Kubínska hoľa (35 km). Thermal swimming pools are available all year round — Meander Thermal Oravice (34 km) and the Polish Chocholowskie Termy (37 km).
Suitable for: summer and winter vacation, skiing, weekend stay, celebration, wedding, teambuilding, sports camp, active relaxation in nature.
