Educational trail Jasovská skala
Are you looking for an easy hike where you will learn a lot, relax and enjoy the wonderful views? After that, make sure to go to the Educational trail Jasovská skala. The beginning and the end of the trail are located in the village of Jasov.
The Jasovská skala educational trail was built in 1989 in the peripheral part of the Slovak Karst National Park in the Jasovská dubiny nature reserve. It consists of a short walking route, only less than 2 kilometers long. On undemanding terrain, you can overcome an elevation of only 100 meters, which will suit even less fit tourists and families with children.
The hike to the Jasovská skala is especially interesting in the summer. During this period, you will be able to admire the surrounding blossoming nature, in which there are several types of protected plants. The chattering birds that have their homes in the treetops will also keep you company.
The Jasovská skala educational trail will take you around several interesting places. The Jasovská cave, the Premonstratensian monastery and a system of ponds are located here. The Jasovská rock itself is naturally divided into three parts. Among them is the moat of the former castle from the 14th century, of which the stone masonry has been partially preserved. The trail is two-way, you will be able to return the same way.
