The log cabin combines traditional mountain architecture with the cozy comfort of modern accommodation. It is located on the outskirts of Závažná Poruba, the birthplace of the prominent Slovak poet Milan Rúfus, just a short distance from Liptovský Mikuláš. Right in the village you will find the popular Opalisko Ski Center, which is one of the largest ski resorts in Liptov.
The Zrub Kriváň offers accommodation with a total capacity of 10 beds and is always rented as an entire object to one group of guests. It is therefore an ideal choice for families with children, groups of friends or guests who want to enjoy plenty of privacy.
The heart of the log cabin is a stylish common room with a fireplace, comfortable sofa, dining area and board games. The pleasant atmosphere with the smell of wood and a crackling fire will make especially cold mountain evenings more pleasant. The common areas include a kitchenette equipped with an induction hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and refrigerator.

The accommodation area consists of three separate units - a double room with a double bed, a four-bed studio with a double bed and bunk beds and a maisonette apartment with two bedrooms, a double bed, a single bed and a mattress. The maisonette apartment also has a kitchenette with an induction cooker and a sink.
The studio is also equipped with an electric kettle, a dining table with chairs and a private balcony with seating. Please note that the balcony does not have a railing. Each accommodation unit has its own bathroom with a shower and toilet, which provides guests with plenty of comfort and privacy.
During warm days, you can sit on the terrace with wooden garden furniture, prepare your favorite dishes on the grill or cook goulash in a cauldron. The peaceful surroundings of the log cabin are perfect for relaxing after a day spent hiking, skiing or exploring Liptov.
Guests have access to free Wi-Fi, ski storage, iron, high chair, washing machine for an additional fee and free parking right next to the log cabin. For a fee, we will also be happy to prepare breakfast for you, which must be ordered at least one day in advance.
By arrangement, we can pick you up from the train station for free and take you directly to the accommodation. We will also be happy to advise you on which places and attractions in Liptov are worth visiting. A stay is also possible with a small pet in addition to dogs. For example, cats and other small pets are welcome.
Závažná Poruba is an excellent starting point for exploring Liptov, the Low Tatras, the West Tatras and the High Tatras. In summer, you can go on mountain hikes, to Tatra lakes, caves or relax in thermal springs.
Popular attractions in the area include Aquapark Tatralandia, Liptovská Mara with swimming, fishing and sightseeing cruises, Demänovská Cave of Freedom and the water slalom area in Liptovský Mikuláš. Active holiday lovers can enjoy cycling, scooter riding, rafting, fishing, mushroom picking or relaxing in beer spas.

In winter, you will especially appreciate the proximity of ski resorts. The Opalisko ski center is located directly in the village and the famous Jasná - Low Tatras resort is approximately 19 km away. Cross-country skiing trails and ice skating opportunities are also available in the area.
